I am a retired Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over 40 years experience as an advanced diver throughout the world. I spent many years practising plastic surgery in Virginia, USA which gave me access, especially during the winter months, to the Caribbean, so I dived in many areas in the Caribbean including the Cayman Islands, Antigua, Anguilla, Dominica, Puerto Rico and slightly afar from the Caribbean, Jamaica and Belize. Since the early 1990s, I have lived in Sydney, Australia and besides diving in the local Shelly Beach and the Harbour and South West Rocks, Jervis Bay, I have added to local destinations of course the Barrier Reef from Cairns, having been aboard the Mike Ball Spoilsport twice with a group of keen underwater photographers. Their enthusiasm for advanced photography led me to invest in a more advanced underwater photography setup, which gave me more versatility to take macro photography and also wide angle so I now own an Isotta housing with Backscatter lights, strobes, a Kraken monitor and a Z6-3 camera with various lenses. With this setup, I have dived several times in the Philippines, especially in Dauin in Negros, and also in a stayed at the resort Atmosphere, and on Philippine Siren liveaboard vessel. We are planning a trip to Tubbataha in 2027 aboard the same vessel. Solo trips by myself have included to Cebu and island hopping,Figi Galapagos and with groups from Dive Centre Manly and Dive Centre Bondi, to Socorro, Tahiti, and the Tuamotos, north-east of Tahiti.
